The greatness of Abay - through the centuries in every heart

This year we celebrate the most important milestone - 180 years since the birth of the great poet, thinker and educator of Kazakh people Abay Kunanbayev. Kostanay Engineering and Economics University named after M. Dulatov did not stay aside from this event. The Department of Social and Economic Disciplines organized an international panel discussion on the topic “Abay's Phenomenon in the educational and scientific space of the XXI century”.

The main goal of the event was to comprehend Abay's spiritual heritage and its significance in the modern world, popularization of national values and awakening the interest of young people to the culture and literature of Kazakhstan.

Prominent domestic and foreign scientists, public figures, representatives of political parties took part in the discussion.

Rector of the University Arman Orazalievich Ismailov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech:

- Abay Kunanbayev is not just a name in the history of Kazakhstan. It is a symbol of humanism, wisdom and aspiration to knowledge. His words even today serve as a reference point in a rapidly changing world. We are confident that the discussion will become a platform for deep reflection and exchange of ideas about the role of Abay in modern education and science.

The report of Duranli Muvaffak Aliriza, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Institute of Turkic World Studies, Aegean University (Turkiye), aroused special attention. The scientist shared the materials of the international symposium named after Abay, held in 2020 at the Aegean University, noting the growing interest of Turkish researchers in the role of modern education and science.
