Graduates with a degree in Agronomy are awarded the title of Bachelor of Agriculture. They study agriculture and crop production for 4 years.
Educational Program Peculiarities:
Graduates can engage in both production and research activities.
Bachelors engaged in research activities undertake the following tasks:
- Analyse information on genetics, breeding, biotechnology of crops and on its basis are engaged in the development of improved varieties and hybrids.
- Conduct experiments and generalise the results.
- Participate in the implementation of their developments.
Agronomists who carry out production and technological activities are engaged in:
- Selecting crop varieties suitable for the conditions of the region, justifying the choice, preparing seeds for sowing.
- Calculation of norms, preparation and application of fertilisers.
- Organisation of crop rotation systems, cutting of fields.
