Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines

ON THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines was established in 2023 by merging two oldest departments – the Department of Accounting and Audit and the Department of Economics and Management.

Acting Head of the Department – Tatyana Kenzhebekovna OSTRYANINA.

The teaching staff of the department consists of 36 people, 5 of them are doctors of sciences, 15 are candidates of sciences, 15 are senior lecturers, 1 is a lecturer.

The department is actively working in three scientific areas:

Economic research and formulation of proposals to solve the problems of entrepreneurship development taking into account the needs of production (the head – Ostryanina T.K.)
The strategy of enterprise development in a competitive environment and the mechanism of its implementation (the head – Ostryanina T.K.)
Comparative analysis of the introduction of elements of Industry 4.0 in single–industry towns of the border territories of Kazakhstan and Russia (the head – Ostryanina T.K.)

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The writing team of researchers consists of all lecturers of the department who develop scientific projects and directions within the framework of this subject. The research results are widely introduced into the educational process and into practice through interaction with various educational, social structures, city and regional authorities, presented at scientific conferences of various levels, published in scientific publications.

Graduating Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines participates in training under the bachelor's and master's degree programs:

The right to train students of the above-mentioned specialities is granted by licenses approved by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The necessity to open educational programs arose in accordance with the needs of the region for qualified specialists. The department also conducts fundamental, scientific-practical, scientific-pedagogical and scientific-methodological research, provides management, information, consulting services to organizations and enterprises, develops and implements innovative technologies in the educational process.

Lecturers teaching special discipline classes have an appropriate basic education, experience in teaching and practical work.

The main goal of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines in the field of education quality is providing multi-level training of competitive highly qualified specialists who have professional competencies and are able to carry out creative activities on a national and regional scale, сapable of leading in market conditions, through the implementation of the concept of lifelong learning and the introduction of innovative approaches in research and educational activities.

The Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines strives to guarantee and provide high quality educational services through modern teaching technologies, the development of international cooperation with universities both near and far abroad.

There is a close cooperation under the MBA program "Agricultural Management" with Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University, Germany.

PRACTICAL TRAINING BASES

The department cooperates with leading enterprises of Kostanay region specializing in the production, maintenance, operation of equipment.

The department has cooperation agreements to organise all types of practices and further employment according to these educational programs.

The university has signed an agreement with the Center for Advanced Training of Professional Accountants LLP. The training laboratory of the department “Company Accountant + 1C” is used in preparing candidates for the title “Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan” certification, for advanced training of professional accountants, as well as for conducting courses "1C - accounting".

OUR GRADUATES

Our graduates work in telecommunication companies, energy complex companies, KTZ enterprises, consulting firms, advertising and publishing companies, banks and insurance companies, in the tax and customs system, in financial and government structures, at large manufacturing enterprises of Kostanay region and Kazakhstan, in local administration bodies.
