Admission of International Applicants to the University

To apply to the University, an international applicant must first register on the Study in Kazakhstan platform, select Kostanay Engineering and Economics University named after M. Dulatov and the relevant educational programme, complete the online application form and upload the full set of required documents.

All documents must be uploaded to the platform electronically. The University Admissions Committee will download the submitted documents directly from the platform for verification and further processing.

International applicants may be admitted on a tuition-fee-paying basis, provided that the University holds valid accreditation and subject to the results of the entrance assessment conducted by the Admissions Committee throughout the calendar year.

Entrance assessments are conducted in accordance with the schedule approved by the Chair of the Admissions Committee.

International applicants are admitted to the University on a tuition-fee-paying basis following a successful interview. Enrolment is carried out in accordance with the University’s academic calendar, no later than five (5) days before the beginning of the relevant academic period.

Documents to Be Uploaded to the Study in Kazakhstan Platform

Applicants must upload the following documents:

• a certificate or diploma of education;
• a supplement to the certificate or diploma of education, or an academic transcript indicating the subjects studied and the final grades awarded;
• a notarised translation of the certificate or diploma of education and its supplement into Kazakh and/or Russian;
• confirmation that the educational documents have been submitted for the recognition procedure, if available;
• a notarised copy of the applicant’s identity document, accompanied by a translation into Kazakh and/or Russian;
• a medical certificate issued using Form No. 075/u;
• six photographs measuring 3 × 4 cm;
• a certificate confirming the applicant’s language proficiency, if available.

Submission of Original Documents and Conclusion of the Agreement

Once the documents uploaded to the Study in Kazakhstan platform have been successfully verified and the applicant has passed the interview, the applicant must submit the following documents in person to the University Admissions Committee:

• the original certificate or diploma of education together with its supplement;
• an application addressed to the Head of the University.

At the Admissions Committee, the applicant must also sign an agreement for the provision of educational services. Once the original documents have been submitted and the agreement has been signed, an official enrolment order will be issued.

Recognition of Foreign Educational Qualifications

Educational documents issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo the recognition procedure in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This procedure must be completed within the first academic period following enrolment.

In accordance with the Rules for the Recognition and Nostrification of Educational Documents, approved by Order No. 212 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 16 April 2015, applicants must submit the prescribed set of documents in order to complete the recognition and nostrification procedure.

If the complete set of documents is not provided, the recognition and nostrification procedure cannot be carried out.

Documents may be submitted for recognition and nostrification through:

• the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana;
• the ‘Government for Citizens’ State Corporation, a non-profit joint-stock company, through a Public Service Centre (PSC).

Accuracy of the Information Provided

If an international applicant provides false or inaccurate information, the University reserves the right to return the submitted documents and expel the applicant without refunding any tuition fees or other payments already made.
