The World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-21)
Employees of KEnEU, Head of the Department of Digitalization and Information Technologies Amantayev Alisher Amantayevich and Head of the Center for International Cooperation and Implementation of Projects Jabassova Zhanat Galimzhanovna, from June 6 to 10, took part in the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-21), which was held in Kigali, Rwanda.
The University was invited to the conference by the General Secretariat of the International Telecommunication Union as an academic member of the Union.
World Telecommunication Development Conferences (WTDC) are convened between two plenipotentiary conferences to consider topics, projects and programs of relevance to telecommunication development. WTDCs set strategies and objectives for telecommunication/ICT development, providing direction and guidelines for the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D).
Our employees took part in the opening of the conference, meetings of the working committees and official receptions of the participating countries, made a visit to the University of Kigali. Colleagues also held a working meeting with the director of the ITU regional office for the CIS region Mochu Natalya Vyacheslavovna, discussed the implementation of the current joint project to create an intellectual educational ecosystem in Kostanay and new initiatives of the university.
