“Voices of the Great Victory: We Remember. Proud. Translating.”

Students of Kostanay Engineering and Economics University named after M. Dulatov took part in the International competition of scientific translation projects “Voices of the Great Victory: We Remember. Proud. Translating”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

The first stage was held from April 2 to April 20. The competition was initiated by the Department of Foreign and Russian Languages of our partner institution of higher education, Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education of Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, and supported by the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines.
According to the coordinator of the international competition, senior lecturer of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines Gulziya Eskatova, the competition is held to identify students' practical skills in analyzing foreign-language text and its adequate translation. In addition, the competition contributed to the development of knowledge about scientific discourse and scientific research methods. However, the most important thing, according to the organizers, is the return to an important theme - the memory and connection of generations, moral values, moral responsibility and eternal gratitude to the heroes of the Great Victory over fascism.

According to the results of the first stage, the winners were the first-year students of KEU: Maxim Alembaev (1BT121), Victoria Lukyanenko (1BT111) and Karina Kazachuk (1Log121). Now the students will continue their struggle for victory in the II online stage of the competition, which will be held on April 24.
