Joining forces to train a new generation of engineers

Today, as part of an extended meeting of the Presidium of the National Engineering Academy at Kostanay Engineering and Economics University named after M. Dulatov, an important event took place: the grand opening of the Kostanay Regional Branch Office of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a large and authoritative association that coordinates and develops scientific and engineering activities in Kazakhstan.

It is symbolic that KEnEU has become the platform for a new stage in the development of regional engineering science and education. The university is an active participant in the training of engineering personnel and the introduction of modern technologies into the educational process.

The president of the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan, Academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov, delivered a welcoming speech at the ceremony.

"I want at least three corresponding members and five academic advisors to work at the Kostanay branch of the National Engineering Academy. In the autumn, we will select the five best engineers from the region to join the academy. Congratulations to all of you and I wish you every success!" — emphasised Academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov — "Today I visited regional universities, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to KEnEU. I was very impressed. Well done!"

The guests were given a tour of the university, demonstrating its material and technical base.

"Even the Academy of Transport and Communications in Almaty doesn't have a lab like this!" the guests remarked in surprise when they saw the “Train Traffic Organisation Lab", where any emergency situation at a station can be simulated. Here, students learn how to respond correctly in conditions that are as close to reality as possible.

In recognition of KEnEU's contribution to the development of engineering education, the National Engineering Academy presented the university with
books as a gift.

The opening of the Kostanay branch of the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan at KEnEU was not only a recognition of the university's achievements, but also an important step in strengthening cooperation between science, education and industry.
