About the Department

The Department of Transport and Service is a structural division of M. Dulatov Kostanay Engineering and Economics University.

The percentage of academic staff holding scientific degrees is 54.8%, and the average age of the staff is 45. The department employs 14 Candidates of Sciences, 2 PhD holders, 7 Associate Professors, 3 Professors and 8 holders of master’s degrees. The department’s activities are coordinated by the Academic Council of M. Dulatov KInEU. The languages of instruction are Kazakh and Russian.

Educational Programmes

The teaching staff responsible for specialised subjects have relevant professional education as well as teaching and practical experience. As one of the university’s principal educational and research divisions, the Department of Transport and Service provides training in the following educational programmes:

Training under the educational programmes listed above is provided in accordance with licences approved by an order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The educational programmes were introduced in response to the region’s demand for qualified specialists in transportation management, maintenance, repair and operation of agricultural and transport equipment, as well as specialists in transport logistics.

Professional Practice

The department cooperates with enterprises in Kostanay Region specialising in the production, maintenance and operation of machinery. Cooperation agreements have been concluded to provide all types of professional practice and support the subsequent employment of graduates.

The Department of Transport and Service seeks to ensure high-quality educational services through modern teaching technologies and the development of international cooperation with universities in neighbouring and other foreign countries.

Objectives

To develop competencies required for organisational and managerial activities in the agro-industrial sector.
To prepare specialists for production and technological activities involving design, technological and operational documentation.
To prepare specialists for experimental research, including experiments, measurements and observations, and for implementing research findings and scientific developments in agricultural production, transport and agricultural engineering, and transportation management.
To develop skills in creating theoretical models for examining the technical condition of facilities and technological processes and assessing the efficiency of transportation processes.
